As the saying goes, we’re looking at the world through rose-coloured glasses! Yes, this month we’re all seeing pink with the focus on breast cancer awareness.
Did you know the phrase “looking at the world through rose-colored glasses,” dates back to 1861, when it was first recorded in Tom Brown at Oxford.* Coined as an attitude of cheerful optimism, we think this familiar phrase represents the spirit of getting behind the cause and thinking pink!
Whether you are fundraising for research, wearing pink to raise awareness, or shopping to benefit the cause, we can all have a hand in the goodwill going this month. Our friends at Bon Ton are donating to breast cancer research with the sale of select products. Check out the Laura Ashley Soutache Ribbon Tee and other worthy finds in their Pink Shop (we’re quite fond of the pretty pink mixer by KitchenAid).

At Laura Ashley, pink takes form in a variety of palettes and styles. Pink can be bold and contemporary as in our brilliant Britannia Cushion or it can be soft and sweet like our Cupcake Doorstop. We’ve specially selected these pink products to aid the ongoing work of Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a 10% donation from each sale benefiting a leading foundation. It’s all for a great cause, so go ahead and think pink!
