Emma, The Iconic Perfume is Back with a Twist

We relaunch our iconic Emma scent to mark our 60th Anniversary.

Calling all long-time Laura Ashley fans! Let us cast your mind back to the iconic Emma perfume, designed by Laura Ashley herself in 1984 for her youngest daughter Emma.

As you may already know, this year marks a very exciting milestone for Laura Ashley as we celebrate our 60th Anniversary! What better way to mark this momentous occasion than reissue our highly sought after Emma fragrance?

Reinvented by renowned perfumer Azzi Glasser, Emma has been reformulated with a fresh modern take on the iconic classic. A romantic blend of white flowers, with Gardenia, White Rose, Neroli Blossom and Pansy. The enhanced Emma features top notes of fresh dewy green notes complimented with base notes of precious Patchouli, Oud, Blond Woods, White Amber and creamy Musk.

Prolific perfumer Azzi Glasser’s modern interpretation of this classic scent evokes the happy days we remember of the original Emma scent. With a nod to the original notes and ingredients, which are sadly unavailable today, Azzi used her extensive experience and knowledge of the perfume world to recreate her reworked Emma scent.

Azzi tells us:

"It was important to keep to the original fragrance family character of the Green Floral and replace the older powdery element with a ‘Chypre’. The new Emma fragrance is a ‘Green Floral Chypre’ fresh and floral full of depth with a sensual soft trail that is addictive…"

I purchased the original in your store on Columbus Av. in N.Y.C. in the mid 1980s. I loved it so much i kept the empty bottle that still had the scent. I was so upset when i could no longer buy Emma. I would love a sample just to see if you were able to recreate the lovely top notes that i loved so very much in this scent. I will purchase because i love all the Laura Ashley perfumes anyway. Thanks

I just bought two bottles of this on ebay, thinking it was the old version--which i have been searching for for ten years! I wore all the LA perfumes in the 80's, but "Emma" stayed with me forever. I was disappointed that you re-issued it with 'a twist', as the original was perfect--soft, enduring and so feminine. I am hoping that the new one doesn't fall into that modern category that so many new fragrances fall prey to--nice, but unremarkable. Hoping for the best!
